Using a real dictionary book can be painful sometimes duo to the amount of information inside it, however, in spite of many people love reading dictionary book, there are also people whom are abhorring  taking or looking for definitions inside the dictionary. 

Having a dictionary app within your phone have many countless advantages, getting rapid definition is one of these advantages, not to mention that these dictionary apps may have some really useful features that may help you in your learning journey such as flash cards.

Cambridge is a lovely companion app which includes some completely freefeatures cannot be found else where, moreover, definitions are well explained given with extra examples making it easy to understand. In addition, you can play few games out there, making the learning journey even enjoyable.

However, cambridge's dictionary has some minor issues. While using the dictionary app on the phone you may encounter some unpleasant odd issues. Some features are missing or limited in the app, which is weird because the website version of this app is completely free.

Dictionary.com has gotten a really positive reviews in the play store, it has a really rare features and some well explained words for English beginners as well. You should try them by yourself !

This app literally doesn't have any disadvantages, it's an easy and simple interface, and more than that it is completely free unlike cambridge's dictionary. Personally speaking, I think that dictionary.com app is much better than combridge's dictionary app.

Word Web dictionary is one of the most popular free dictionary apps on Android. It has 285,000 words, 225,000 word meaning definitions, and so on. There is also a built-in dictionary for synonyms and pronunciation. Perhaps it's unique feature is the ability to find words that are often misunderstood or distinguish words with similar pronunciation. It can also be used offline, completely free, with no in-app purchases or ads.

It is relatively simple and has no common features such as audio pronunciation. Otherwise it is a reliable application.
