Exynos cpus been absent for a decade following the restricted us decision about importing these cpus into the country;however, this may change with the google new-upcoming device. Google is hesitating to confirm it. Yet, tensor's chipset is reportedly based on an exynos design.
the most fascinating part about all this, is that the modem will support mmWave 5G, which is more complicated to get up and running; until now, Qualcomm has been considered a leader in this area. There are currently only 3 companies producing 5G modems: Qualcomm, Samsung, and MediaTek (well, there is also Huawei, but it has been shelved).
Although the Pixel 6 series may not be sold in large quantities, it will demonstrate the capabilities of Samsung modems to other smartphone vendors. So far, all millimeter-wave compatible smartphones sold in the United States (including Pixels, iPhones, Galaxys, etc.) are equipped with Qualcomm modems.
